On February 13, 2025, Dr. Mariam Binladen completed a 25KM swim around Dubai’s World Islands with Andy Donaldson, raising awareness for ocean conservation and sustainability.

Bahrain Swim Challenge
Dr. Mariam Binladen joined a 170km relay swim around Bahrain with three athletes, completing the challenge in over 48 hours. The swim promoted Gulf unity, endurance, and women's empowerment through sport.

Ice-Glacier Swim Austria
The first Arab to complete an ice swim temperature (-0.4°c) in Hintertuxer Glacier in the Austrian Tyrol, 3200m above sea level for a distance of 85m.

Dubai Creek & Canal
In 2023, Dr. Mariam became the first woman to swim the full route through Dubai Creek and Canal. The urban swim focused on clean water access, environmental sustainability, and women’s visibility in endurance sports.

Saudi Arabia To Bahrain
In 2022, Dr. Mariam swam across the Arabian Gulf from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, marking a milestone in regional unity and women’s empowerment. The swim symbolized solidarity and the importance of cooperation in addressing shared challenges.

Saudi Arabia to Egypt
Also in 2022, she completed a historic swim from Tiran Island to Sharm El Sheikh, becoming the first Arab woman to do so. Tied to COP27, the swim raised awareness for marine conservation and the need to protect Red Sea coral reefs through the Coral Swim initiative.

Thames River Swim
A year later, she swam 101 miles along the River Thames, becoming the first woman to do so. This effort continued her advocacy for refugee children, reinforcing her commitment to combining sport with humanitarian action.

English Channel Swim
In 2016, Dr. Mariam Binladen became the first Saudi woman to swim the English Channel, completing the challenging route from England to France. The swim aimed to raise awareness and support for Syrian orphan refugees, highlighting the human impact of the ongoing conflict.
